MCNALLY LOOKING FOR V8 UTES SERIES BOOST AT BATHURST

Glenn McNally re-acquainted himself with 'the mountain' today as he hit the track at Mount Panorama Bathurst in two practice session for Round 7 of the V8 Utes Series.

After visiting the circuit for the first time last year Glenn is keen to push harder, go faster and get a better result than last year.

With that in mind he went faster today than at any point last year and is hopeful of finding some more speed overnight.

"I had to get my eye back in here today," Glenn said.

"This circuit is daunting and there is a lot to it if you want to string together a fast lap."

Glenn was 11th fastest today after gaining two seconds since the opening session.

"We put some new tyres on it but I didn't do my fastest lap until the end of the session,

"The best part of the tyres had gone so I know I need to make some gains in my driving.

"It is a long lap here so what may be 1 second off the pace at any other circuit ends up being 3 seconds off here."

Glenn has all eyes on qualifying tomorrow and is hoping to push deep into the top ten.

With two races on Saturday and the final race prior to the Bathurst 1000 on Sunday, Glenn is hoping to improve on his 7th place in the Series points.
