At the Indy 500 they drink milk to celebrate victory, well at this year's Queensland 300 for V8 Supercars they will be knocking the top off a pineapple when it comes to celebrating on the podium.
As part of a new-look format for the V8 Supercar round at Queensland Raceway, the winner of the race will be rewarded with a crate of freshly grown pineapples - the fruit most synonymous with the State of Queensland.
The pineapple juice will mix well with the Yellowglen champagne, which is sprayed by the drivers at the end of each round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
The winner of the race will technically be known as the 'Top Pineapple', a title defending champion David Besnard would not mind having one little bit.
"If being given the title of 'Top Pineapple' means I also get the winner's trophy, then I would not mind it one bit," said Besnard, who is now a member of the three-car Ford Performance Racing outfit.
"Winning last year's race was the highlight of my V8 Supercar career to date and it would be something special to be standing up there on the podium again, especially with Queensland now being my home state."
"I don't mind eating pineapples either, so taking a box of them home would be a bonus."
"I think the whole pineapple thing is a great initiative by the Queensland Raceway and will provide a bit of fun for all of us."
