JR 'happy' With P9 On First Day Back
It was business as usual today for Jason Richards as the Team BOC driver cruised into the top ten qualifiers for this weekend's none-championship AGP support races.
Richards' last V8 Supercar race was four months ago, just before he was diagnosed with adrenocortical carcinoma. This weekend he will compete in all three races before his treatment re-commences next week.
Team-mate Jason Bright is trialing a new front end on his Team BOC Commodore this weekend and finished 12th-fastest.
The top-ten shoot-out is at 3pm tomorrow followed by the first race at 6.20pm.

"I was P1 on my first dry flying lap in practice; I was quite chuffed about that so finishing ninth in qualifying was a bit of a disappointment! It's all a bit new for me though, having not competed in any races this season, so I'm happy to be P9 on my first day back.
"The car's not quite how I left it, as the boys have moved on with set-up, but it was great to be back with my team-mates and have my girls watching."
Team BOC #8
"We made a change to the front end of the car and struggled on green tyres; we just didn't have enough turn for the new rubber. We made a change mid-session that made it a little bit better and we went quicker at the end on used tyres so I think it was pretty good, but I just wasn't able to do it when we needed to.
"There's a lot of promise in our different front end though. We're still trying things and we've got to figure out what we're going to do tomorrow. We said before we came here that we wanted to work on this as our next step so I think we'll probably stick with it."
