Longhurst Qualifies Team Betta Electrical Falcon For Clipsal 500

Tony Longhurst today qualified his Team Betta Electrical car 66 for entry into the Clipsal 500, finishing with a time of 1:08.5657.

"This pre qualifying really puts a strain on the whole team" said Tony, " but I'm pleased it's over so that we can get on with the task at hand and that is to win the teams first race in the new car!

"The car still needs a little fine tuning, but it certainly has the goods to get up amongst the front runners"

"The conditions were near perfect today and from what I hear the weekend should be equal to today's weather which will suit the car's and myself just fine"

"With so many top drivers out there today, I really had to go for broke in order to win a spot on the grid for the Clipsal 500"

The car just needs that little bit more fine tuning in its handling and I believe we will have a very competitive package, come practice for the main events we will most certainly have it all together" said Tony.

"The AGP event recently held in Melbourne was the fist time the two Team Betta Electrical Falcons had competed in a race and no matter how many hours of painstaking labour had been put into the cars you will always find little problems to rectify and that meeting was no exception, they are only minor but however still very important" said Tony.
