The race format for Supercars' first championship round at the Australian Grand Prix will be officially confirmed on Thursday.
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation is set to confirm the race format for the Aussie Touring Car category's first points-paying round at an AGP, as part of a wider announcement of the support card for next year's event.
It is expected the format will include four qualifying sessions and four races of varying length, with a pair of sprint races without pitstops, and two longer races.
The 'Coates Hire Supercars Melbourne 400' name given to the round suggests those races will be split over 400 kilometres.
Supercars will be joined on the AGP support bill by the Australian GT Championship, which recently unveiled its full 2018 schedule, as well as another Albert Park staple in Carrera Cup.
