ROUND 7, WINTON MOTOR RACEWAY (VIC), 23-25 JULY 2004

FRIDAY 23 JULY

An inquiry commenced into a report that a jack from the Lansvale Smash Repairs team rolled into the fast lane in Pit Lane during Practice Session 1. The breach was admitted and a fine of $2,000 was imposed.

SATURDAY 24 JULY

An inquiry was conducted into a report that car #51, Greg Murphy (Kmart Racing), failed to attach the window net during Practice Session 2. The breach was admitted and a fine of $1,000 was imposed.

Car #7, Tony Longhurst (Castrol Perkins Motorsport), was found to have exceeded the Pit Lane speed limit during Practice Session 3. A fine of $300 was imposed.

Car #44, Simon Wills (Team Dynamik), was found to have exceeded the Pit Lane speed limit during Practice Session 3. A fine of $300 was imposed.

An inquiry was held into a report that car #48, Mark Noske (WPS Racing), had passed the chequered flag twice at the end of Practice Session 3. The breach was admitted and a fine of $500 was imposed.

An inquiry commenced into a report that car #6, Craig Lowndes (Ford Performance Racing), was in breach of the Rules in that the ignition timing was found to be greater than six degrees during the Top Ten Shootout. The breach was admitted and subsequently the time for car #6 in the Top Ten Shootout was excluded and the car was required to start the Race from grid position 10.

An inquiry was held into a report involving an incident during the Qualifying Session between car #2, Mark Skaife (Holden Racing Team), and car #11, Steven Richards (Castrol Perkins Motorsport). After reviewing video footage of the incident, no further action was taken.

A Team Request for Incident Review was received from WPS Racing (Mark Noske - car #48) following an incident with car#45, Dale Brede (Team Dynamik). However due to the absence of in-car camera footage of the incident, no further action was taken.

SUNDAY 25 JULY

An inquiry commenced into a report that a tyre from the Brad Jones Racing team rolled into the fast lane in Pit Lane during the Warm-Up Session. The breach was admitted and a fine of $2,000 was imposed.

An inquiry into a report that car #24, Garth Walden (Romano Racing), had passed the chequered flag twice at the end of Practice Session 3 was deferred until Round 8 (Oran Park Raceway).

The following cars/drivers received a drive through penalty during the Race:

* Car #88, Paul Radisich (Team Betta Electrical), for a Pit Stop infringement

* Car #88, Paul Radisich (Team Betta Electrical), for exceeding the Pit Lane speed limit

* Car #12, John Bowe (Brad Jones Racing), for a driving infringement

* Car #7, Tony Longhurst (Castrol Perkins Motorsport), for a driving infringement

A Team Request for Incident Review was received from Kmart Racing (Rick Kelly - car #15) that car#33, Cameron McConville (Repco Valvoline Cummins Team), overtook under a yellow flag on the last lap of the Race. An investigation revealed that the Flag Point in question displayed a green flag. As a result, no further action was taken.
