Nick Percat topped the traditional early morning warm-up session at Mount Panorama, ahead of today’s Bathurst 1000.
Teams mainly concentrated on brake pad and driver changes throughout the 20-minute session, with Percat’s 2m07.156s good enough to top the field.
Nissan’s Michael Caruso was second fastest, just under a tenth slower than Percat, while the Penske entry of Scott Pye and Marcos Ambrose was third fastest, also less than a tenth behind the pacesetter.
Provisional pole-sitter Fabian Coulthard was fourth fastest, ahead of Mark Winterbottom and Top 10 Shootout winner David Reynolds.
Garth Tander, Todd Kelly, Shane van Gisbergen, and Jamie Whincup rounded out the Top 10.
