March 5th 1999 - Australian Grand Prix Day 2. Today saw only one event on track for Paul Radisch, his first race with the new Dick Johnson Racing AU Falcon. After only running 6 laps in qualifying yesterday, Paul lined up 7th on the grid alongside Tony Longhurst in another Falcon.

Paul made a blinding getaway from the line, however his race was to be short lived. Going into the second turn, Glenn Seton was spun around and cut straight into the side of Paul, which triggered a chain reaction, resulting in another car running into the back of Paul.

Although damage was quite serious, the team fully expect Paul to take his place on the grid for races 2 and 3 tomorrow.
