New Adelaide circuit given green light

The multi-million dollar SA Motorsport Park development in Tailem Bend, near Adelaide in South Australia, has been given the official green light.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the ambitious project has been granted $7.5 million dollars of federal government funding.

Sam Shahin, director of the Peregrine Corporation that is developing the circuit, also claimed that he already has a deal in place with V8 Supercars to stage a race there when the facility is finished.

Now, the South Australian Development Assessment Commission has officially green lit the project, with construction expected to start later this year and be completed in 2017.

“Rigorous planning and design work has occurred over the last 12 months to create what will be a world class facility,” said Shahin.

“It is fantastic to now receive development approval from DAC and reach this important milestone in the project”.
