Lowndes heads an all Red Bull front row for the third race in Darwin

Red Bull continues to perform at a level far beyond any of their adversaries this weekend.

One day removed from his 40th birthday, Craig Lowndes has extended the Red Bull domination in Darwin with a lap time of 1:08.7500, which was good enough to secure him pole position for the 19th race of the season. His teammate and title rival Jamie Whincup will start alongside as he attempts to sweep the weekend, coming just 0.09 seconds short of the pole himself.

David Reynolds and Jason Bright fill out the second row on the grid in their pursuit of the checkered flag today. James Courtney will start his quest for a second victory this season from the fifth position, alongside fellow Holden driver Fabian Coulthard.

They are followed by Shane Van Gisbergen, Chaz Mostert, and Russell Ingall. Points leader Mark Winterbottom clocked in 10th, a bad sign as he tries to stop the bleeding with his lead evaporating.

David Wall did not participate in the session due to power steering issues.
