Engineering Change at Kelly Racing
Adam Hardy will move into the role of Race Engineer for Rick Kelly's #15 Jack Daniel's Commodore at the Albert Park 400 at the Formula 1 QANTAS Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, Victoria this weekend.
Hardy replaces David Swenson, who is no longer with Kelly Racing. Hardy has worked as Data Engineer for the team's #11 Pepsi Max and #16 Stratco Commodores for the first two events of the 2011 V8 Supercars Championship. He will be assisted by Jack Daniel's Racing Data Engineer Peter Craik this weekend at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
Hardy joined the team over the off-season from the United Kingdom, where he worked in Race Engineering roles at Triple Eight Race Engineering and Eurotech Racing in the British Touring Car Championship.
Todd Kelly, Racing Director of Kelly Racing, said Hardy had been a fantastic acquisition for the team.
"Adam has huge potential and when we interviewed him and took him for a trial at one of our test days late last year I could see right away that he was an extremely capable Race Engineer," said Todd Kelly.
Kelly thanked Swenson for his contribution to Kelly Racing, having been a part of the team's engineering department since the team's birth in 2009.
"Swenno has made a huge contribution to the first two seasons of Kelly Racing and we wish him well in the future," said Todd Kelly.
