Jones locked in for BJR enduro seat

Second generation V8 Supercars driver Macauley Jones has been locked in alongside Dale Wood at Brad Jones Racing for the 2015 endurance season.

The development series driver, 20, has been heavily linked to the seat throughout the season, with the team now confirming that he will indeed drive the #21 Commodore at Sandown, Bathurst, and on the Gold Coast.

“It hasn’t really hit me yet that I’m going to be a part of the biggest race in Australian history,” said Jones, whose father Brad is the team's co-owner.

“I’ve been going to Bathurst for quite a few years now; it is a place that I’ve been dreaming of competing at since I was a kid.

“I’m really pumped for it and so excited that I have the opportunity to race not only in the Bathurst 1000 but the endurance cup as a whole.”

Jones joins Luke Youlden and cousin Andrew Jones on BJR’s co-driver roster.

With Jones locked in, the only remaining spot on the enduro list is alongside Tim Blanchard at LD Motorsport. As first reported by Motorsport.com, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Karl Reinder are favourites for the seat.
