Team Betta Electrical On A Charge at Eastern Creek
Team Betta Electrical approached today's practice and qualifying sessions with great confidence knowing both cars #88 and #888 were ready to meet the challenge.
Both morning practice sessions were used to further fine -tune the balance of the cars, the results of which were reflected with both cars finishing one and two with the fastest times in the third and final practice session.
"I'm impressed with the way the car is handling" said Radisich, posting the sixth fastest time in the second session was quite pleasing, the car is responding well as the third practice session indicated with both Max and myself posting the fastest lap times of the third and final practice session".
'It was really pleased with my performance in the practice this morning said Wilson, the team has really set the triple eight car superbly".
'It was areal buzz for both Paul and I to be 1 & 2 in the third practice session today" - Wilson commented.
Qualifying saw Radisich finish in 9th fastest with a time of 1:32.3943, whilst Wilson in car #888 qualified two places back in 11th position and just out of the top ten contenders.
"It's a bit of a shame, I really thought I had made the top ten" - Wilson commented.
"The car is certainly fast enough and now I intend to concentrate on tomorrow's and attempt to duplicate my last race here at Eastern Creek in 2003, where I finished third and experienced my first podium in the V8 Supercar Series" concluded Wilson.
"Tomorrows another day said Radisich, "The race is all important as we must gain as many championship points as possible to stay in the hunt, I think all of the drivers are of the same opinion".
"Tomorrow will see the makings of possibly the greatest battle of all, with every driver trying to protect their cars, yet knowing they have to finish as high on the leader board as possible, still that's what the spectators come along to see".
"There is so little time difference between the top ten contenders, it really comes down to driver ability with this years series".
"The series along with the teams have stepped up a level this year, so the competition is very fierce indeed" - Radisich concluded.
