Tekno Autosports has confirmed the signing Will Davison for the 2016 V8 Supercars season.
Davison, whose departure from his current team Erebus was announced just a few hours earlier, will be the replacement for Shane van Gisbergen, who will make the switch from Tekno to Triple Eight.
The official statement released by Tekno Autosports describes the deal with Davison as a 'multi-year' contract.
“We are delighted to have a driver of the calibre of Will Davison join us and we’re excited about the competitive potential of this new combination,” said Tekno boss Steve Hallam.
33-year-old Davison has 18 race wins in V8 Supercars to his name and achieved his personal-best championship finish of runner-up back in 2009.
Having made the switch from Holden to Ford back in 2011 and subsequently joining Mercedes runners Erebus, he now returns to the Holden marque in signing up with Tekno.
