Wills Brings The Cat Home Safely In RACE2

Simon Wills , like all the drivers in today's race endured cabin temperatures exceeding 55 degrees C. "It was a very demanding race on both drivers and cars," said Simon. Simon worked his way through the field to finish in 10th position, keeping out of the way of the carnage on the circuit. Simon's best lap was 1:25.40. "It was a real endurance race out there, although the car was still showing some damage from yesterday's altercation, the CAT RACING Falcon lasted the distance in extreme conditions.

I'm not too disappointed with the performance. I think with cooler conditions everyone would have performed better. I can't remember when I last raced in such heat.

"Now I'm thinking ahead to Phillip Island in 3 weeks time, another favourite high speed circuit."
