Max in the Team Betta Electrical car 65 has now qualified within the top ten placing's in four of the past five series events so far this season, quite an achievement considering this is his first season in V8 Supercars on totally foreign circuits.
"The circuit is very demanding in areas and you can't relax for a second or you may end up into the wall" said Max.
"I'm looking forward to tomorrows top 15 shootout and race one of this three race event" he said.
Tony Longhurst in car 66, the second Team Betta Electrical V8 Falcon registered twenty -third fastest in the first practice session of the day.
Tony managed to improve on his position in qualifying over Hidden Valley by registering twenty- fourth fastest today with a time of 1:45.40.
