St?ubli Is Named Official Provider Of Dry Break Coupling Kits for USF2000

PALMETTO, Fla., Feb. 15 - St?ubli has been named the official provider of mandatory dry break coupling kits for the USF2000 National Championship, which is presented by Cooper Tires and powered by Mazda.

St?ubli dry break couplings are an important safety measure. Located between a USF2000 car's fuel cell and its fuel-injection intake and tethered to the frame, they are designed to separate in a large impact. Once separated, the dry breaks will help prevent any major fuel spills that could ignite.

St?ubli dry breaks are also a 'green' initiative because they act as a clean, no-spill connection for the series' tech officials conducting fuel samplings.

Competitors wishing to obtain pricing information should call the series at (941) 723-3900.

As part of its participation in the series, St?ubli will also post an award of a $200 product certificate to a randomly selected finisher in each of the 12 USF2000 races in 2010.

"We're pleased to be involved in the USF2000 series, as our program is not only a safety initiative but also a 'green' initiative," said Jeff Barrow, St?ubli's motorsports manager. "St?ubli's high-performance connecting solutions have been well recognized as the leader in safety solutions for fuel sampling, fuel filling and impact safety. To have the St?ubli Corporation and our strong, high-quality, brand-name safety products associated with the USF2000 series and the 'Road to Indy' program is an exciting adventure for us."

"St?ubli has developed and produced an excellent dry break product as a solution to the issue of car fires fed by spewing fuel after a crash," explained Dan Andersen, co-owner and chief executive officer of Andersen Promotions, which administers the series. "We have found their products to be top quality, and Jeff's service is exceptional. His offer to provide a prize for each of our races demonstrates the company's willingness to give back to the racers, and we sincerely appreciate it."

More information on the company and its products is available on St?ubli's Web site at staubli.com.

Sanctioned by the Indy Racing League (IRL), the USF2000 National Championship is one of only two series that are part of both the IRL's Road to Indy ladder system and the MAZDASPEED Motorsports driver development program. The series' 2010 season will open with a doubleheader March 27-28 on the street circuit in St. Petersburg, Fla. in support of an IZOD IndyCar Series headliner.
