Indy GP USF2000: Askew takes another pole
Oliver Askew took pole position for the second time in just three hours as he landed P1 for the second USF2000 race of the weekend.
The Cape Motorsports driver lapped the 2.439-mile course in 1min24.7400sec to beat Team Pelfrey’s Kaylen Frederick by 0.31sec.
Rinus VeeKay was third for Pabst Racing ahead of the second Cape car of Ricky Donison and Robert Megennis in a second Pelfrey machine.
Callan O’Keeffe was sixth for Benik, with Dakota Dickerson seventh in the Newman Wachs Racing and Pabst Racing’s Calvin Ming eighth.
Race 1 begins at 2.30pm ET.
