WINCHESTER'S RICH VOGLER CLASSIC POSTPONED!

Winchester Speedway and USAC officials have announced that this weekend's "Rich Vogler Classic" USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car event at the Winchester (Ind.) Speedway has been postponed due to inclement weather.

"With a forecast of temperatures in the forties with 20 to 40 mph winds and the threat of rain and possible snow showers, we felt it would be best to postpone this weekend's event," said Charlie Shaw, owner of the track. "We wanted to give everyone plenty of notice so they wouldn't drive here to sit in the cold and wet waiting for a decision. A lot of people were looking forward to our re-opening, so we're disappointed."

The "Rich Vogler Classic" has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 16. The next USAC race at Winchester is the "Kenny Irwin Memorial" Valvoline USAC Sprint Car race on June 12.
