Simpson Performance Products named USAC's Official Uniform & Safety Products Supplier.
Simpson Performance Products of New Braunsfel, Texas, the industry leader in Race Uniforms and Racing Safety Products, and the United States Auto Club of Speedway, IN announce that they have reached an agreement that Simpson Performance Products will become the exclusive "Official Uniform and Safety Products Supplier to the United States Auto Club for the 2003 - 2005 USAC seasons.
Steve Farmer, USAC Director of Sales/Marketing stated, "The addition of Simpson Performance Products as the "Official Uniform and Safety Products Supplier to USAC", affords us the opportunity to provide our USAC Race and Staff Officials the best in race uniform apparel, as well as offer the highest quality safety products in the industry to our USAC competitors and fans."
"All of us at Simpson Performance Products are excited to be associated with USAC and its 47 year history," says Douglas Doolen, Simpson Vice President of Sales. "Our involvement as the Official Uniform and Safety Products Supplier gives us the opportunity to support the very heart of open-wheel racing at a multitude of levels. Our ultimate goal as always is to advance and improve racing safety."
USAC Vice President/Technical Director Mike Devin adds: "Simpson Performance Products has a great tradition of quality and commitment to racing safety. Their addition to the growing USAC family of sponsors is further evidence of their concern and commitment to short track, grass roots racing in the United States".
Simpson Performance Products will post contingency awards for all six USAC major series for events winners and "rookies of the race." Eligibility for the rookie awards will be contingent upon pre-participation registration. Simpson will also post a year-end award for the overall USAC champion, based on total points earned from all six series.
USAC begins its 48th year as a race sanctioning body and has in its previous 47 years established itself as an industry leader in terms of safety requirements for its participant competitors. USAC's competition rules and safety procedures serve as a standard for open-wheel racing and this affiliation with Simpson Performance Products is a natural fit.
