Mopar offers a lot more coin to Classic.

CENTER LINE, Mich. - Mopar is adding to the pot of the 26th annual Copper World Classic, March 21-23, at Phoenix International Raceway, by offering a "double-dip" bonus to any USAC Midget A Feature winning driver using Mopar power.

Saturday's Midget race has an $11,000 purse. If the winner drives a Mopar- powered car into Victory Lane, Mopar will match that purse.

Dave Steele won last year's Copper features in both the Silver Crown and Midget Series. He will campaign a Mopar-powered Midget car for Dino Tomassi in Phoenix. Several other drivers will use Mopar power, including Tracy Hines, Jay Drake and Van Knill. In total, Mopar will be powering nearly a dozen entries - all eligible for the bonus money.

"Mopar is committed to its teams, drivers and engine builders, and we're betting our money on them," said Kevin Miller, Senior Manager - Mopar Brand Excitement. "They can be rest assured that we'll send them home with a check for the money and not a huge pot full of pennies."

The Copper World Classic's USAC events will be televised on Speed Channel on Thursday, March 27, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST.

Mopar is based in Center Line, Mich., and is the exclusive original equipment supplier of parts for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® vehicles.
