Lewis wins Nazareth Midget feature.

Michael Lewis of Noblesville, Ind. captured Sunday morning's 25-mile USAC National Midget Car race at the Nazareth (Pa.) Speedway. The race was postponed from Saturday due to rain.

Lewis caught early leader Dave Darland on the 15th lap and led the rest of the way in his A.J. Foyt Racing/Electronic Chrome & Grinding Pink Ford/Beast. Darland, the defending series champion, finished second ahead of Dave Steele, Aaron Fike and fast qualifier Ron Gregory. The 25-mile race was originally scheduled to be held on Saturday but an afternoon rain forced the race to be run at 8:30 am Sunday.

Drivers James Chesson of Far Hills, N.J. and Steve Paden of Downey, Calif. were transported to local hospitals for precautionary scans after being involved in a second-lap accident but both were treated and released.

Steele emerged from the race with a 20-point lead over Darland going into a May 3 race at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
