Nashville Sprints Postponed

Saturday's "Music City 150" USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series opener at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tenn. has been postponed by rain and rescheduled for September 12.

The rescheduling of the race coincides with the annual Tennessee State Fair at the complex and starting times will be announced when finalized. The race will be the first for USAC Sprint Cars in the state since Don Branson's victory on the same site in 1959!

The event features twin-77-lap feature races on the 5/8-mile paved oval and a $25,000 cash bonus for any driver who can win both 77-lappers. The winner of the first feature is required to start last in the second to be eligible for the bonus.

The postponement leaves the April 18 rescheduled "Glen Niebel Classic" at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway as the 2004 USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series debut.
