The cars and stars of the USAC National Midget Series are set to invade the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, MI, on Saturday night, November 8, for the inaugural Silver Dome Shootout.

In true Chili Bowl style, tons of clay will be hauled inside the Silverdome for the construction of a 1/5-mile clay oval. It is expected that more than 50 cars from throughout the country will be on hand for the first-time racing event. Mark Finnerty and Steve Hahn have teamed up to offer this unique racing showcase.

Included among the many contenders expected to battle for Silverdome Shootout victory honors will be current USAC National Midget Series point leader J.J. Yeley, who topped his 20th USAC feature of the year last Thursday night, establishing a new USAC record for most victories in a season. Yeley currently holds a slim point lead over Tracy Hines and Bobby East, with Jay Drake and A.J. Fike rounding out the current top five.

With only three point races remaining for the USAC National Midgets following the November 8 Silverdome Shootout, the event is sure to have a major impact on the final outcome in the championship chase.

Tickets for the November 8 Silverdome Shootout are available through Ticket Master at 248-645-6666. Tickets for adults are only $18 plus convenience charge, while children twelve and under are only $10 plus convenience charge.
