CAMBY, Ind. - Marc Jessup will be back on the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car series trail this weekend Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tennessee during the inaugural Big M Motorfest presented by Brim's Snack Foods. If things fall into place Jessup not only will be racing the Sprint Car event at the ¼-mile dirt track on Friday night, but he could also could be running Saturday with the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown series at the ¾-mile paved speedway at Memphis Motorsports Park on Saturday.
During Friday night's USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car event Jessup will be driving a new F5 chassis for Bill Davis Racing with Snyder Engines power under the hood.
"I would like to thank Bill Davis Racing for stepping up and providing the dirt equipment necessary to run a successful Valvoline Nationals sprint car team," said Jessup from his shop. "Our dirt car engine was not finished, so Snyder Enterprises stepped up for the Memphis event to provide us with an engine."
Davis and Snyder join Indy Motorsports, Impact Racing, Moyer Motorsports, and Hoosier Tire supporting Jessup's effort during the 2004 season.
Despite not having any starts in the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series, several teams have called Jessup in hopes of collecting the $50,000 bonus for any driver that can win the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car event on Friday night and the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown series event on Saturday afternoon at the ¾-mile paved track located next door to the ¼-mile dirt track.
