Jessup Has Productive Indiana Sprintweek

CAMBY, Ind. -- Marc Jessup and the Jessup Racing team just completed the most grueling stretch in USAC Sprint Car Racing during Indiana Sprintweek with good results. Jessup with his Jessup Racing F5 Chassis with Foxco powered ended on a strong note with a top 10 finish at the Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Sprintweek started well on Thursday July 15th with a 13th place finish at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, Indiana. After being rained out at Gas City I-69 Speedway Jessup won the non-qualifiers race at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana, but missed the feature event.

The low point of Sprintweek for Jessup was at Tri-State Speedway when he flipped during the second heat race and had to retire from the event. After not qualifying for the Gas City makeup race that eventually rained out the team skipped Bloomington to regroup for Terre Haute.

At Terre Haute Jessup qualified 20th fastest out of 47 cars on hand. After finishing third in his heat race Jessup charged through the field to score an 8th place finish.

The USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car series gets a week off before the Mopar Thunder Sprint at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The Thunder event is a spin-off of the successful Mopar Million event held last fall at Eldora where Jessup make the feature event, finishing out of 138 cars on hand.
