4 MORE VALVOLINE "INDIANA SPRINT WEEK" RACES THIS WEEK
KRUSEMAN 2, HINES 1; RAIN FORCES PUTNAMVILLE POSTPONEMENT
The Valvoline "Indiana Sprint Week" slate concludes with four races this week, beginning with Tuesday night's rescheduled race at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville. Rains forced the postponement at Putnamville prior to the conclusion of qualifying Saturday.
Gas City I-69 Speedway hosts Wednesday night's action, while the "Robbie Stanley Classic" unfolds Thursday night at the Lawrenceburg Speedway. Friday night's finale is the "Jan Opperman Classic" at the Terre Haute Action Track. All events conclude with 30 lap features.
Cory Kruseman, who won Thursday night's opener at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon and Sunday night's race at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, leads the Valvoline "Indiana Sprint Week" standings, two points ahead of Tracy Hines, who won Friday night's race at the Bloomington Speedway.
Kruseman, of Ventura, Calif, wheeled the Keith Kunz Motorsports Vital Express/Snyder Engines Bullet to victory lane on Thursday at North Vernon, leading the final 20 laps after passing Bud Kaeding. Hines finished second ahead of National Sprint Car point leader Dave Darland, defending Valvoline "Indiana Sprint Week" Champ Levi Jones and Kaeding.
Hines and the Dynamics, Inc. Kroger/Tide, Bounty/Pringles F-5/Mopar paced all 30 laps of Friday's race at Bloomington, beating Darland, Jay Drake, Jones and Kruseman to the checkered flag. Bryan Clauson led the first 19 laps at Haubstadt Sunday but slipped to third at the finish behind Kruseman and Damion Gardner. Jones and Hines rounded out the "top-five."
