R.E. Technologies Racing Ready For First Dirt Race of The Season

Memphis, TN -- May 25, 2004 -- The R.E. Technologies Racing team returns to Boston Reid's home state if Indiana for the first dirt race of the season May 28th at the Hoosier Hundred at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

"I am excited about returning to Indiana and my friends and family coming out to see the team," said Reid. "Hopefully we can pull off a good run for the home crowd."

This weekend's race will mark Reid's run in a Silver CrownTM car on dirt and his first run in the historic Hoosier Hundred.

"I watched a lot of Hoosier Hundreds when I was a kid," smiled Reid. "I am thrilled to be able to participate in the race."

While the Fairmount, Indiana native may be new to running a Silver Crown car on dirt his team is not. The R.E. Technologies Racing team qualified in the top three at the Indiana State Fairgrounds track in 2001 and 2002. The team finished second with Jerry Coons Jr. behind the wheel in 2001. Reid is confident that the team will have a solid car underneath him and that he can adapt to the track.

"R.E. Technologies Racing's package is pretty strong on dirt," stated Reid. "It is a big confidence boost to know that these guys have a good setup and handle for these tracks so it makes it easier on me."

BUSY BOSTON

Boston Reid's last two weeks have been hectic. He piloted his 2B USAC Sprint car at Terre Haute on Saturday. The Indiana native then flew to Charlotte, NC to participate in the Hendrick Motorsports 20th Anniversary Media Event were he was introduced to the Charlotte area media. He then was scheduled to fly to Anderson, IN to drive the Scott Benic owned 2B USAC Sprint Car. Two days later he will climb into the #35 Curb Records Silver Crown car for the Hoosier Hundred on 5/28. Following the Hoosier Hundred, he will hit the road for the Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic at Eldora on 5/30.

PODIUM IN ARCA

Boston Reid finished 3rd Sunday May 16th at the Hickory Farms 200 ARCA RE/MAX race at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio.
