Loveland , OH(November 24, 2003)- Hoffman Auto Racing announced today that USAC stand out Eric Gordon will drive the #69 Kroger/Tide/Pringles/Bounty/ Alltrail.com Gaerte Beast , in all 2004 USAC Silver Crown races on pavement.
"I am excited to drive for one of the most respected names in auto racing, the Hoffman Family" said Eric Gordon. Eric began his career at the young age of 6 under the guidance of long time racer and father Fay Gordon. Eric progressed from quarter midgets to become a full time regular with USAC in the late 1980's. Since then Eric has compiled a dozen victories in nearly 250 National Sprint starts. He was the National Sprint points runner up in 1989,1990, and 1991. Eric also has one Silver Crown victory to his resume, winning the 1990 race in Milwaukee. Eric was the "Rookie of the Year " for the USAC National Sprints in 1989, and won the same honor in the Silver Crown Division in 1990. Eric is best probably best known for his recent dominance of the "Little 500" in Anderson Indiana. Eric has won that prestigious race 5 times including the last three years. &n! bsp;Eric had 7 starts in 2003 in the Silver Crown Division , and had two top ten finishes to his credit, including a second at Pikes Peak.
