Polesitter Tracy Hines held off two stiff challenges from Dave Steele to win the United States Auto Club National Sprint Car Series 30-lap feature at Nazareth Speedway. Both of Steele's moves came at the end of the race's two caution periods.

"Dave was better than us on restarts," Hines said after leading from start to finish, taking his second win of the year and the 29th of his career. "And it took our tires a little while to get going. We had a good car, though. We came here with good notes and we didn't tinker too much. We qualified well and track position is important here. So starting up front really helped us."

Steele, who started second, came home second, .473 seconds behind Hines. "Tracy was taking up the real estate we needed," Steele said. "We didn't have anything for him today. He was just better than us. We had a second place car."

Eighteen-year-old Bobby Santos rounded out the top three. "We were real strong at the beginning of the race, but I think I used up the tires a little too much," Santos said.
