USAC's Carolina and California Dirt Ford Focus Series continue this week, with races at Concord, N.C. Tuesday, Dillon, S.C. Saturday and Ventura, Calif. Saturday.

Bradley Riethmeyer leads the Carolina focuses to races at Concord Motorsports Park and Dillon Moor Speedway and Walt Johnson will try to retain his lead in the California Dirt series in Saturday's race at Bakersfield Speedway.

Branden Allen of Yorkville, Ill. led all 20 laps of Saturday night's USAC/UMARA Ford Focus series finale at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. The victory in the Yorkville NAPA/Wholesale Tire Spike capped his drive to the 2008 series championship as he finished with a 117-point edge over runner-up Brad Greenup, who was third Saturday. Nick Grommes finished second at Morris, ahead of Greenup, Sara Hyslop and Tyler Cottongim.

Canadian Brendan Langlois paced all 30 laps to win Saturday night's California Pavement/Auto Trader Utah Developmental series feature at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City. Ian Mille, with a second-place finish, emerged as the new California Pavement series point leader going into a September 20 race at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Brennan Newberry, fast qualifier Kipp Posey and Bob Brewer rounded out the "top-five" at the checkered flag.

Posey continues to lead the Utah series standings going into the September 13 series finale at RMR.

Joe Leiper earned his initial USAC feature win in Saturday night's 20-lap Junior Focus race at Ventura (Calif.l) Raceway. He led all 20 laps to beat Jake Swanson, Charlie Butcher, Tyler Edwards and Andrew Mulhearn.
