Chase Scott of Concord, N.C., Bradley Galedrige of Los Altos, Calif. and Tate Martz of Rushville, Ind. scored USAC Ford Focus Midget feature wins last week, while rains forced postponement of Monday's Real Race Cars Inversion Challenge at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway. The Hickory event has been rescheduled for Saturday night, September 18.
Scott wheeled his J & L Industrial Supply/2 Quick Shocks Beast to victory in Friday night's Carolina/Virginia 30-lapper at South Boston (Va.) Speedway, leading the final 20 laps after passing Danny Bopp on lap 11. Michael Sboro finished second, ahead of Robbie Ray, Brit Andersen and Brandon Wagner.
Galedrige led all 20 laps of Saturday night's California South race at the Ventura (Calif.) Raceway in his Wirtgen Group/Galedrige Construction Stealth. Chris Rahe, Bobby Michnowicz, J.J. Ercse and Ryan Pace rounded out the "top-five" at the finish.
Martz passed Ryan Litt on lap three and led the rest of the way to win Friday night's Midwest 25-lapper at the Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway. Litt finished second behind Martz' Duffy-Warble Beast, ahead of Jimmy Light, Travis Young and Rex Norris III.
Scott takes a 130-point lead over Mike Ward into Friday night's Carolina/Virginia event at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C. A 25-lap feature is scheduled at the 4/10-mile dirt track. Rahe leads the California South standings entering this Saturday night's program at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway where a 25-lapper is slated. Martz has a 59-point lead on Norris entering the final Midwest event September 24-25 at Lakeville (Ohio) Speedway.
