Six different states will host events in the 2004 USAC Midwest Ford Focus Midget Car Series. The schedule of races was released today by USAC.

Opening April 4 at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway and concluding sometime in October, the series will visit no less than 14 tracks in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Kansas.

Speedways included in the 2003 Indiana series already slated for 2004 events include Anderson, Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, South Bend (Ind.) Motor Speedway, Red Hill Raceway in Sumner, Ill., Lakeville (Ohio) Speedway, Limaland (Ohio) Motorsports Park and the Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway.

New venues for 2004 listed on the calendar are the Indianapolis Speedrome, Indipendence (Iowa) Motor Speedway, Kik-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio, Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway, Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc., Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio and the Belleville (Kans.) High Banks where the Ford Focus cars will kick off the 2004 "Belleville Midget Nationals."

Additional dates are in the negotiation stage and will be announced as they become firm.
