MOUNT LAWN'S "WEDNESDAY NIGHT THUNDER" CONTINUES; ROBERTSON, FEHRMAN, HAMILTON TAKE 30-LAPPERS

Travis Young, Chett Gehrke and Kyle Hamilton lead their respective USAC racing series into Wednesday's "tripleheader" at Mount Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Ind. A trio of 30-lap races are scheduled on the 3/10-mile paved oval.

Hamilton, of Danville, Ind., won last Wednesday's Kenyon Midget race at Mount Lawn, leading the final five laps after passing Blake Fitzpatrick on the 26th lap. Fitzpatrick, Dillon Welch, Dakoda Armstrong and Caleb Armstrong rounded out the "top-five" as Hamilton and his Curtis Motor Sales/WKLY Radio Yahama emerged with a 33-point lead over Fitzpatrick.

Young finished second to James Robertson in last Wednesday's 30-lap Regional Midget race and leads Robby Parish by 26 points entering Wednesday's program. Robertson, of Indianapolis, Ind., piloted Gregg Steele's Lucas Oil Beast to victory in last Wednesday's Regional Midget 30-lapper, leading from start to finish. Ricky Ehrgott, Brent Beauchamp and Alex Pruett completed the "top-five."

Gehrke was sixth last Wednesday as Eric Fehrman of Greensburg, Ind. raced to victory in the 30-lap Indiana Ford focus race. Fehrman was the fourth race leader, taking the lead from Robby Parish on lap 24 and putting his Del Taco/Indy Concrete Beast into victory lane. Parish was second, followed by Alison MacLeod, Tyler Irwin and Craig Haack. Robertson, Gehrke and Parish led laps before Fehrman took over.
