MOON TRIES FOR SECOND STRAIGHT STOCKTON FOCUS WIN AFTER BREAKING HARRIS'S STREAK

Benny Moon of Shingle Springs, Calif. ended Alex Harris's four-race winning streak in USAC California Ford Focus Pavement Midget Car Series action on Saturday, winning on the quarter-mile Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, Calif. Moon will try for two straight as the series returns to the track this Saturday.

Moon, driving the No. 3 Winners Circle Ford Focus entry owned by Ron Sutton, led the final six laps after passing Robbie Whitchurch on Lap 25. From there, he was never headed, leading Whitchurch, Jace Meier, Harris and Chris Veach to the stripe. Meier and Steve Davis won eight-lap heats.

Audra Sasselli, who led the opening lap of the contest, continues to lead the points standings, now by 32 over Harris heading into Saturday's action. Harris led 10 laps at Stockton before relinquishing the point to Whitchurch.
