J.J. Yeley of Phoenix, Ariz. will receive a $20,000 cash bonus this Friday night as the winner of the 2002 Earl's Pro-Lite 350 Hose Fast Qualifier Championship. The presentation will be made by Robert Writesman, Manager of Circle Track Motorsports for Holley Performance Products, Inc. at the annual USAC "Champions Night" ceremony at the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. Ind.

Friday night's affair is being held in conjunction with the annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show at the adjacent Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome facility.

Yeley earned the bonus by virtue of amassing the most points among drivers competing in USAC National and Western racing events during the calendar year. The point system utilized rewarded the top six qualifiers in each event and Yeley's final margin of victory over runner-up Tracy Hines was 46 points.

Yeley will also be crowned USAC's 2002 Weld Racing Silver Crown driving champion and receive additional awards as the runner-up in USAC's Sroops Freightliner Sprint Car and National Midget Car Series.

Fast qualifiers in the season-ending USAC events were Rick Hendrix (Sprints) and Dave Steele (Midgets) at Irwindale, Calif. Thursday and Tony Stewart (Sprints) and Ryan Scott (Midgets) at Las Vegas, Nev. Saturday.
