East Looking for More Following Knoxville Doubleheader

Brownsburg, Ind. (June 2, 2009) -- Bobby East left the "Knoxville Midget Nationals" at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa third in the USAC National Midget Car Series championship standings after he finished sixth on Friday night and followed it up with a 13th-place run on Saturday night.

"We were hoping to get better finishes both nights," said East, driver of the Klatt Enterprises No. 4 Ford Racing Technology/ClubSport/Beast Chassis Beast. "We're working on the new Beast four-bar dirt midget chassis and this was a great test because Knoxville is a very fast and challenging track. The next five races are on dirt and we're really looking for a lot more during Indiana Midget Week. Evan Avart and the rest of the guys are already working on what we learned this weekend and we should come off the trailer good once we get to Gas City in a couple of weeks."

East sits third in the standings, 16 points behind leader Darren Hagen. Next up on the schedule is Indiana Midget Week, with five nights of racing at five dirt tracks in the Hoosier state: Gas City I-69 Speedway on June 10; Twin Cities Raceway Park on June 11; Bloomington Speedway on June 12; Lawrenceburg Speedway on June 13; and Kokomo Speedway on June 13.
