YEAR-END NATIONAL, WESTERN BANQUETS SET FOR JANUARY
INDIANAPOLIS -- Championship-winning car owners and drivers, Rookies of the Year and other special award recipients will be among those honored for their achievements and support during both of USAC's 2005 banquets, set for January.
The Western States Award Banquet will honor those who competed in the Valvoline USAC/CRA and Western Sprint Car Series and the Western Midget Car Series, as well as the Young Automotive Group Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series and California Ford Focus Pavement and Dirt Midget Car Series. The Western Banquet is set for Jan. 7 at the Radisson Knott's Berry Farm Resort in Buena Park, Calif.
Many of those accepting Western awards will also receive honors at the National Banquet, which is scheduled for Jan. 28 at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis. The Western award recipients will join those from the National and Speedrome Regional divisions as well as all of USAC's Ford Focus divisions.
Tickets are available for both banquets, which include dinners. Prices for the Western Banquet are $40 per person, and tables may be reserved only for groups of ten, paid in full.
Interested parties looking to purchase tickets or for more information, contact Jeanie Hunt at 916-863-7223. Reservations must be made by Dec. 20.
Tickets for the National Banquet, tabbed the 50th "Night of Champions," are currently on sale for $75 per person. The affair is black-tie optional and includes a dinner, and several special guests have been invited to represent USAC's 50 years of competitive racing.
