RJ LOPEZ HEADS WEST, POINTS LEAD FIRMLY IN HAND

Miami, Florida(June 3, 2010)- RJ Lopez arrives at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah for round three of the SCCA Trans-Am series championship with a solid five point lead over Tomy Drissi in the overall standings. For Lopez, gaining the points lead came after two consistent runs earning a pair of second places finishes in races one and two for the number 6 Disco 106/Goodyear/ECR Engines Chevrolet Corvette. The goal for Utah, maintain that performance level and achieve more points.

Realizing it is a ten race season and each race counts, Lopez has set his focus on the big picture. "Our first objective this weekend is to finish the event keeping and increasing the points lead," said Lopez. "I believe a win would be the best way to do that," commented Lopez, who is still seeking that elusive first career Trans-Am series victory.

Appreciating the challenges that are unique to Miller Motorsports Park, Lopez intends to make the most of the series' inaugural trip to the first class facility. "Miller can be a pretty challenging course, as it is desert and there are very few points of reference around the track," commented Lopez. "I tend to pick up the racing line quickly so I am optimistic Miller will be no different and we'll be up to speed in no time."

"The crew unloads a well prepared car each weekend," said Lopez. "Mark Meissen does a great job preparing for each venue and the ECR engines have been strong all season. Put it all together and I think we have a complete package."

The team looks to leave Utah the same way they arrived, leading the points and contending for the championship. "Ultimately that is the goal, the championship trophy," said Lopez.
