On his practice effort this afternoon... "We went out on a set of high mileage tires to get an idea of what we want the race car set up to be. We did some small adjustments on the front end to adapt to the track conditions. Now we need to go back and decide what we need to do to make the car better for qualifying tomorrow. We have a great car to qualify in tomorrow, I just want to have a great car to race in come Sunday.

On qualifying 18th for the NASCAR race... "We took a car off the truck that just didn't want to respond. We worked for a while on the set up this morning to get the car ready to qualify, but just couldn't get the car where we wanted it. We qualified ok, but we have happy hour tomorrow to get the car more race ready."
