Miller Racing and Sports Radio WBBL AM in Grand Rapids Set to Help Local Lions Club

For Immediate Release - Johnny Miller and the PLCDirect sponsored Miller Racing Team have joined forces with Sports Radio WBBL AM in Grand Rapids to help Lions collect used eye glasses and raise awareness for the visually impaired in Grand Rapids and throughout the world.

Miller Racing and WBBL will be promoting eyeglass collection activities throughout the racing weekend. Local Lions Club members will be accepting used eyeglasses at information booths located throughout the West Michigan Grand Prix facility.

Special events for the week include an opportunity for a lucky WBBL listener to become a member of the PLCDirect Miller Racing pit crew for the weekend. The lucky listener will become an actual crewmember, performing real race team duties. The winner will be able to work on the cars or help with media relations and marketing activities, depending on the winner's preference.

Johnny Miller will be holding an autograph session at the Welcome Home for the Blind home at 1953 Monroe Avenue. The autograph session is scheduled for Thursday afternoon 7/23 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM. Additionally, Johnny will be participating in a slot car race at "The Bob" Saturday evening.

Fans and listeners are also encouraged to bring their used eyeglasses by the Miller Racing paddock and get a first-hand look at the team's two Rocketsports Camaros. Johnny will be signing autographs as time permits.

Miller Racing adopted Lions Clubs International, the worlds largest service organization, in order to raise awareness of Lions vision and youth. Miller Racing sponsors eyeglass collections and public appearances on behalf of local Lions Clubs in each racing community.
