Johnny Miller, driver of the no. 64 Automationdirect/Eaton Cutler-Hammer Jaguar XKR, provisionally finished seventh after starting fourth on the gird...Miller was under the weather this weekend with the flu.

NOTE 1 - BACKGROUND STATS...Ranks fourth in the points standings...Has three top-three finishes, four top-five finishes, and nine top-ten finishes...In 2001, finished a career-best third in the points standings, after ranking first or second most of the season...In 2001,had five top-three finishes and completed every lap of every race...Earned the Owners' Championship for Rocketsports...Has 30 career top-five finishes...In 2000, scored his first career Trans-Am win at San Diego...Voted "Most Improved Driver" for 1998...Won the "Rookie of the Year" title in 1996.

On his early pit stop... "We lost a water pump belt. All of sudden, it just quit steering. It must have looked like I was trying to block everyone behind me the way the car was handling. We pitted to fix it, but it cost us a lap early on.

On the late race restart incident... "I was going with Justin Bell, and Paul was behind me. Mike Lewis saw Bell go by and panicked. I had the corner, but he tried to shut the door and I wasn't having any of that. He turned hard left in on me and just kept coming. I checked up, but there was nothing more I could do. Lewis does his mileage run deal by driving slow to try to make it without having to pit for fuel and blocks people in the process. I hate that the incident ruined Paul's chance at the win today.

"I had a great car today, but we just get the right opportunity to show it. But we rallied to finish seventh, so we'll take those points, head to Atlanta, and give it another shot.
