Unstoppable Paul Fix forges ahead.

Miami, FL (October 6, 2002) Paul Fix and the #77 Hotel Monaco Jaguar XKR started the Grand Prix of the Americas in 11th position based on championship points, due to a rainout during qualifying. The green flag dropped and Paul forged ahead through the field. By lap 21, Paul jumped into 4th place, fending off 2001 Rookie of the Year, Justin Bell. Paul fought off Bell, as the Miami sun caused the track to become slippery and traction became an issue. Entering turn 16, Paul lost the much needed adhesion and clipped the wall.

The crew worked diligently to amend the required repairs to put their trooper back into battle. Paul never lost faith or focus in his team. After 7 laps of intensive labor, the #77 Hotel Monaco Jaguar reentered the field. Finishing the street fight in 13th place, Paul Fix and team now move on to Atlanta to show their strength and determination.

The next race is October 11th at Road Atlanta Motorsports Center, Braselton, GA. The race will air October 18th on the SPEED channel at 8pm. EST.

In addition Fix Motorsports is supported by: Classic Tube "Prebent Tubing Products"; Royal Purple Synthetic Oils; Mothers Waxes & Polishes and Competition Life Insurance. Technical and product support from Mechanix Wear, Wix Filters and Zone Perfect Nutrition.
