Unsponsored Driver Heads West To Fight For Rookie Honors
Paul Fix (#77 Classic Tube Ford Mustang) is running 2nd in the rookie points and is heading west to fight for Rookie Of The Year. "We are still seeking a sponsorship for our team." Paul has proven himself by finishing as high as 10th at the Tenneco Detroit Grand Prix.
We were initially planning on running the East coast events only. Based on our finishes we have decided to dig deeper into our pockets and complete the whole season while we search for a sponsor.
This is quite impressive for a rookie that is unsecured for the season -- so far. Paul's talent and experience in vintage Trans Am racing has really paid off for his team.
"I'm very happy with the way the car has been running," the T/A Racing Series rookie said. "We put a lot of work into chassis performance between races and it is paying off so far."
Round six of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup, the Wine Country 100, will be broadcast live from Sears Point Raceway at 2:30 (EDT) on Saturday, July 21. Saturday's race will be televised live by CBS, marking the series' first-ever live appearance on a major network.
The Fix family is the 'the family that races together', with the whole family supporting him on race day! Lauren races in vintage T/A and the kids, Shelby age 9 and Paul III age 7, go-kart race; and there to support Dad.
Fix Motorsports is supported by Classic Tube 'Prebent Tubing Products'; Royal Purple Synthetic Oils and Lubricants; Mechanix Wear; Prestone; FRAM; and Driving Ambitions Performance Driving Schools.
