Paul Fix (#77 Classic Tube Ford Mustang) is on his way to Road America for the seventh round of the SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Cup. The Wired Piranha Racing Team plans to make a come back and take that momentum through the rest of the season.
Fix is running for rookie points and is currently 3rd for Rookie Of The Year, and 18th in the drivers points. "We have a had a few bad breaks -- but this is a track that I have had great success in the past." "I'm eager to get back to this competitive 4 mile road course." "We are still seeking a sponsorship for our team, this would help us have even better finishes," said Paul who has proven himself by finishing as high as 10th at the Tenneco Detroit Grand Prix. Paul has talent and experience in vintage Trans Am racing has really paid off for his team.
The Road America race will be televised on Speedvision on Saturday, August 25, at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
The Fix family races as well, Paul's wife Lauren taught Paul to race in 1988, where she started in SCCA racing, and races currently in vintage T/A cars. The Fix children; Shelby, 9 and Paul III, 7 race karts as well, and have been quite successful.
