Don Sak looking for more lead laps in Denver.
Say's "the #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette is the best car I've ever had!"
Detroit - August 27, 2002 - Still buzzing from his 10th place finish and his lead laps at Road America, Don Sak is psyched as the Revolution Motorsports team and the Trans-Am for the BF Goodrich Cup Series moves into Denver for the Shell Grand Prix of Denver, August 29 - September 1.
"We've had more fun this past week," said Don from the Revolution Motorsports' race shop in Wixom, Michigan. "Friends have been calling and sending e-mails... it's been great. I'm sure a lot of fans didn't realize those were the first laps I had ever led in a Trans-Am race... I couldn't be happier."
"The #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette is running and handling great right now," Sak continued. "I'm pretty confident that I'll be very competitive on the street course in Denver. Everyone is at the same disadvantage since the course is new, but with a two car team, we can combine our set-up information and get up to speed quicker."
From a team owner's point of view, Don reflected on the team's progress with four races left in the season.
"I am extremely pleased," he said. "It was a big decision to take on an effort of this magnitude. However, I'll tell you, it's a great feeling to step back and look at the results we've had. We have excellent people in every segment of the team. I take it as a compliment when I see how much they care. We've got a few more pieces to put in place before next year.. I'm confident we'll get there. These guys are winners!"
