On his ninth place finish this afternoon... "We had a banner day today," joked Miller, who was making reference to the advertisement banner that got caught in his grill forcing him to have to pit for a second time. "We easily had a second or third place car today. The race was coming back to us just like we had planned. I was running real consistent :14 flat times. We were just working our way back up field after having to make the first pit stop. The got a little loose coming off the chicane which caused me to go off track and fill the grill all up with grass whish cut all air flow to the engine.
"We struggled a bit early on in the weekend trying to get the car set up for the track conditions. This track is such a pedal down wide open track that you want to take advantage of as much speed as can find, but not give up on the handling and braking in the tight low speed corners."
"It was great seeing all my friends and family from Eaton Cutler-Hammer, they have to be one of the best cheering sections in any sport. But I just want to thank all of the people who did come out here today from sponsors. I want to promise all the Trans-Am Series fans out there that it will be a race all the way to the end for this year's championship. And I plan to the one winning it."
