Paul Fix Wins GT-1 Class At Grand Prix of Cleveland
First Top 5 Win in Trans-Am
CLEVELAND, Ohio (June 25, 2005) - Paul Fix and Fix Motorsports #77 STOP FLEX/ Buca di Beppo Mustang Cobra wins first place in the GT-1 class and 4th overall for today's Trans-Am Series at the Grand Prix of Cleveland. Fix marks his return to Trans-Am with a fulfilling win.
"Gary, my crew chief, said to patient early and by half-way through the race, the car would come to me," commented Fix. Fix conserved his tires due to the hot conditions, while other pushed to hard early on and it cost them positions.
Fix has set his sights on the 2005 GT-1 Championship and he's well on his way after Cleveland. "I'm looking for the GT-1 Championship", said Fix. "Our intentions are to come well-prepared to each event.
Our strategy is simple - be there at the end while other falter.
Fix Motorsports will now have the next week off to prepare for the Molson Indy on Toronto, Canada on July 8-9. Fix looks to carry the momentum into Toronto to continue his GT-1 quest.
