Butch Miller and SS Racing to make Debut in Trans-Am Series

Indianapolis, IN -- (July 5, 2005) Butch Miller of SS Racing has entered the Trans-Am (GTA Class) race for the upcoming Molson Indy weekend that will be held in Toronto, Canada. It will mark SS Racing's first time to compete in road race and will be only the fourth time Miller has raced a road course. The team hopes to lay a foundation within the Trans-Am series and expand its drivers programs to include road course racing. The Trans-Am series recently made former ASA cars eligible into the GTA Class with minor changes to the cars.

Butch Miller is best known for his legendary career racing short track stock cars including three ASA Championship titles. Miller is optimistic and enthusiastic about the upcoming challenge. "As a driver, I'm really looking forward to driving a road course because its different from much of the racing I've done in my career. But I also think this is great move for the SS Racing team," said Miller. Miller and the SS Racing team have been working around the clock to prepare for this event which begins with practice sessions on Friday.

Team owner Ken Smith made the decision to enter the Toronto race after a recent visit to the Trans-Am race in Cleveland. "There's a lot we had to change over in a short amount of time but things are really coming to together," said SS Racing Owner, Ken Smith from his Indianapolis based shop. "We are looking forward to the event and being part of the Trans-Am Series. They have shown us complete professionalism and they have a great deal of life in their events!" Smith has been in search of that life since the ASA Series died last year.

Butch Miller will pilot the no. 52 ASI Limited car for 57 laps or 75 minutes around the 1.75 mile 11 turn temporary street course. The SS Racing team has tentative plans to enter a few more events later this year which may include a second and possible third team entry with other un-named drivers. The race can be viewed July 17th at 12:30pm EST on Speed Channel. Stay tuned to www.ssracingonline.com for all the latest news and information about SS Racing including race results from Toronto.

ASILIMITED is a leader in the Building Enclosure and Ornamental Metals industry. Indianapolis based ASILIMITED's ability to take a project from it's inception to its completion separates them from their competition. In 2003, the Ornamental Division was established as a national supplier of ornate products. Currently the Ornamental Division is supplying materials for the Orlando Courthouse as well as the MUSC project in South Carolina. ASI will be partnering with their customers in the CTS to continue to build relationship and teamwork.
