Brian Simo is ready to chase his third-consecutive win at Mosport International Raceway, after qualifying second for Sunday's Trans-Am Series race for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup. Simo, the current series champion, qualified second on the 31-car grid with a time of one minute 20.574 seconds on the 2.459-mile road course. He will start beside pole-sitter Paul Gentilozzi of Lansing, Mich., who qualified in 1:20.510.

"Qualifying at Mosport was a repeat of last year," Simo said. "I'm disappointed a bit with second, because I think we have a better race car. But we'll work on it and see what happens in the race."
